THE MAN AT THE BEAUTIFUL GATE

Acts 3:2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

The incidence of the lame man at the beautiful gate attested to the book of Ecclesiastes 3:1. He was at the beautiful gate for a very long time, he couldn’t enter because it wasn’t time for him.

It’s a lesson for us to wait patiently unto God. What he’ll do in December he won’t do it in January. What he’ll do in 29 years to come he won’t do it in two years. You need to know that no one can fast forward him. What’s your hurry all about?

When you try to put things together most is when things fail to work out. Don’t you notice? God is preparing you for great things beyond your thoughts. Your present situation is a stage you must pass through. It’s you that sees it as bad, unfavourable but God sees it as the best because that’s the same which will lead you to the next.

Acts 3:10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

The same people who sees you when things seem so tough and are reproaching you will be the ones that’ll see the changes in you. Your turnaround will shock them all because they will never think of such. Do you know what that mean? It’s a KEEP SHOT. Consider if you don’t pass through that situation, how will they be amazed? Do you think they’ll celebrate you?

Just like what happened in the case of the lame man, they’ll begin to broadcast your new encounter, your new story. They’ll go from house to house, place to place because they won’t be able to hold it.

Do you know one outstanding quality of the lame man? If we read from verses 3 to 6, we’ll discover that he was FOCUSED doing his job. He was A BEGGAR. He understood what it takes to be a beggar. He was alerted, he doesn’t miss a single person without asking for alms. He wasn’t expecting a difference, I mean a different lifestyle or miracle. All he was doing was diligence in his job. He was finally made BEAUTIFUL. What a great experience!

So, how are you diligent in your business? Are you focused? Do you know what it takes? Are you serious with that job of yours? Miracle happened to the lame man unexpectedly. You too can experience a miracle if your mind isn’t split. Understand yourself and the job you do. Focus on it, then be more prayerful. Your situation will change in Jesus name. Amen.
