I went to ten different hospitals with Melvin but I didn’t see Aaliyah. I even went from ward to ward no one resemble my Aaliyah
“Mum I hope Aaliyah is fine I miss her already…..” Melvin said as we stepped out of the car and walked into the house
He was about to say something further when my telephone rang and I answered it
📲 Mum where have you been?” Mia asked on the other end
📲 I’ve been busy searching for my daughter” I responded
📲Which daughter are you talking about, I’m in school and I’m not lost” she spoke nonchantly
📲 “Aaliyah is missing”
📲 “Why are you stressing yourself over that dumb girl, who knows maybe she went to her boyfriend’s house”
I shook my head sadly as if she could see me. Aaliyah was definitely pure and innocent soul. She was beautiful, sweet and decent girl….
📲 Lest I forget, I want to report Ric …..” her voice came up again
📲 I’m not in for your matchmake, that’s none of my business” I interrupted her statement and she hung up the phone
That brat didn’t know I was only doing my best as a mother to protect her from a loveless marriage. Being in a loveless marriage often breeds isolation, resentment and hopelessness. She’s too young to start suffering in marriage but Gerald’s selfishness and Mia’s obsession for Ric made them to take the decision
I went upstairs and walked into my room. Gerald was having a telephone conversation with someone but quickly disconnected the phone call when he noticed my presence
“Where have you been?” he questioned me and I started explaining everything to him.
“I think someone is in this house that want her dead” I said
He widened his eyes then narrowed them in an attempt to focus.
“Do you know the person?” He quizzed but I could feel his chest moving up and down faster as his breath quickened.
“No” I shook my head sideways
“I’ll find her don’t worry yourself anymore” Gerald assured me and he took his suit jacket
“I’ll be back soon” he rose and hurried out of the room. I was really tired, so I fell on the bed to get some sleep
☃GERALD POV☃
I left the room in a hurry, I was so disturbed that I’d to leave the room right away. Then drove straight to our hideout
“Carter did you threatened the girl I asked you to kill?” I asked one of my boys
“No” he simply answered
“But she has ran away” I shouted, fuming with anger. I glanced up to find him watching me thoughtfully
“Take it easy boss, I’ll find her” Carter said calmly, Like it didn’t bother him
“You’d better do a perfect job or else I will kill you instead” I threatened
“Okay boss” He responded
