Looking at my wife sleeping beside me, I noticed she looked worried even in her sleep. Something was eating at her and it was consuming her thoughts, time, and energy. It was making her depressed and she was suffering from it.
Alisa wasn’t the type that showed interest in a situation that does not involve her and she didn’t like to poke nose into my affairs
She was independent enough to feel happy on her own. So I had no idea what was troubling her. “It’s good she’s not clingy, as long as she’s still into me and interested in the marriage, I don’t have to worry” I muttered
I got up and walked to the window to open. “My firm is in dire strait due to poor management. To put it in a nutshell, we’re bankrupt.” I sighed and a grin broke out on my face when I remembered that I was having possession and control of Richard’s property
The major obstacle to achieving that goal was Aaliyah. Those board of directors were the governing body of the company and they were elected by shareholders to set strategy and oversee management and since Aaliyah was the heiress of Richard’s fortune, I wasn’t allowed to take over the company
Aaliyah was a daughter of wealthy and powerful parents, a young lady of great privilege and I’d vowed to put an end to her existence so that my generation would not suffer again even if they don’t work
I headed for the bathroom and cleaned up. Wrapping a towel around myself, I stepped out of the shower stall and walked into the warm room, searching for the shirt my mistress had given me.
After I was fully dressed, I picked up my brief case and glanced back, after taking one last look at Alisa, I left the room

A half hour later, I arrived at my destination and walked straight to her room.
“Good morning honey” I greeted her. She hugged me and kissed my cheek
“Why didn’t you pick up my calls?” She asked with a frown
“I’m sorry, that’s why I’m here” I apologised
“What’s happening? When is Ric getting married to your daughter?” She inquired
“Ric doesn’t love my daughter and Nolan isn’t in support of the marriage” I replied
“Gerald don’t give me that shit! Can’t you force Ric to marry Mia?” She raised her voice at me
“My daughter is not a robot, what if she’s experiencing emotional pain in the marriage, she might feel lonely and hurting” I uttered
“Forget about feelings, she will enjoy money and wealth inside the marriage and that’s enough” She stated
“Calm down for a minute and listen to me. I will convince Ric to marry Mia” I said
She was breathing quickly and tried to calm herself before she spoke up again
“It would take a lot of persuasion to get him to agree to such an offer. So stop that! That does not need to continue! Have your mind made up to force Ric to sign a marriage agreement between Mia and him”
“What do you hope to gain from this? Why are you forcing me into it and trying to push my daughter and Ric into signing a marriage contract” I quizzed because I don’t just understand her anymore.
“I fear being poor, money is important. I need money” She responded
“Its a good idea, Ric’s wealth is growing everyday. The next three years, he might be a multi-billionaire. There’s nothing wrong with being rich and getting richer. I will do it” I told her
“You’re so smart, that’s why I like you” She was smirking and grinning all over her face as if she was enjoying herself.
“I’m going to the office, I have some pending works to be done” I announced
“I will be expecting you in the evening, I’ve missed you” she said seductively. I nodded and gave her a quick kiss before rushing out of the house.
