Chester sighed softly and followed his sister to her room, he sat beside Ruby on the bed and hugged her to himself
“Anytime I see you crying, it breaks my heart
I don’t like seeing your tears”, Chester patted her back as she continue sobbing on his chest
“What’s going on here”? Zoltan asked as he entered his daughter’s room
“Ruby is not in the right frame of mind and I’m just trying to comfort her”, Chester replied
“Really? And why are you crying? Zoltan raised his eyebrows staring at his kids, most especially Ruby.
I missed Mum, I wish she’s alive, Ruby murmured
Zoltan Started laughing till he felt a drop of tears at the corner of his eyes
“Funny! You miss your mother? Do you even know her not to talk of missing her”.
“Dad don’t you believe me”? Ruby asked
“I’m sorry but I don’t believed you dear daughter, Your mother died when you were just a month old and I’ve been the one taking care of you since then
So, how come you started missing someone you don’t know all of a sudden”, Zoltan uttered
“Dad she’s not crying because she missed Mum, she’s crying because I offended her,” Chester told their father the truth
“You’re trying to cover up for your brother…..I see
Anyway you guys should sort out your problems,
Chester meet me downstairs in the next ten minutes, we have a business proposal at the office”, Zoltan said and left the room, leaving his children in the room.
Chester apologised to Ruby and wiped the tears on her cheeks, he pecked her cheeks and walked out of the room to meet his father downstairs so as to go to the office together.
