AUTRY APARTMENT
“Autry you’re such a good cook, since when have you started cooking?” Ruby inquired as she carried her plate to the kitchen
She moved to the sink and turned on the water. She started washing the used dishes while Autry helped her to rinse it
“Nanna thought me how to cook but I started cooking for myself just few months ago,” Autry answered
“You have a grandmother?” Ruby asked
“Yes Precious, I have a grandmother, she’s still agile and strong,” Autry replied
“Can I meet her?”
“Why not? I’m not from this city, but I can take you to my family if you want but not yet,” Autry spoke to her with a smile
“What did you mean by you started cooking for yourself few months ago, could you be a little more specific?” Ruby asked
“You’re too inquisitive Precious,” Autry murmured under his breath
Ruby smileed and continued washing the plates
Autry was so cool and handsome that she couldn’t take her eyes off him, she wanted to keep looking at him often because he was attractive.
Ruby was absorbed in her imagination, so lost in the world of her own that she became insensitive to the plates she was washing as she kept staring at Autry
She accidentally broke a dish since she wasn’t concentrating and cut one of her toes
“Precious!” Autry yelled, he was shocked and the blood he saw on her toes frightened him more than he would admit
Without thinking or waiting for her permission, he carried her out of the kitchen
Ruby’s body sank into the sofa as Autry dropped her gently and went to his room to bring out a first aid Kit
“Have you seen the reason why you should stop staring at me while you’re working,” Autry talked quietly
He put her leg on his laps and used an alcoholic-free wipe to clean the blood stain, after that he applied petroleum jelly and covered the cut with a sterile bandage
Autry let out a sigh of relief as he put her foot on the floor and stood up
Ruby quickly mouthed “thank you” as he went back to his room to return the first aid kit. Then strolled into the kitchen to finish the remaining work
A little while later, Autry finished cleaning the dishes and wiped the counters. He took out the trash and after ensuring that the kitchen had been made fresh and clean for the next use, he walked back to the living room to join Ruby
“Autry see this wedding, it’s so classic and unique,” Ruby tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention, pointing her fingers at the television for Autry to see the wedding program that was showing live.
Autry just glanced up and nodded his head nonchalantly
“Chester also attend this wedding just to honour his girlfriend. Do you know Political money’s daughters? The younger one is Chester’s girlfriend and this is his first daughter, getting married to a celebrity,” Ruby explained to Autry, she thought that he didn’t know Ximena
“I know both of them, Ximena was my girifriend, now my ex-girlfriend
In fact she broke up with me the day I saw you sitting alone in the dark, Autry said as he shook his head, trying hard not to remember that terrible day
“It’s a lie! she ditched you for a celebrity?”
“Something like that, let’s forget about that Precious, I wish her a happy home,” Autry stated, lying on the couch and placed his head on Ruby’s laps
Ruby touched his soft hair and started stroking it. Autry chuckled at her gesture, he closed his eyes and muttered
“I will soon sleep with what you’re doing”
“You’re free to sleep son, your mother is here for you,” Ruby said in a hushed tone and they both burst to a bout of laughter.
