BONITA AND CASSIE RESIDENCE
Bonita was busy with house chores, she was done cleaning their rooms upstairs as she walked downstairs to tidy up the living room
Bonita and Cassie now stays in a different rooms in the new Apartment Chester got for them. Cassie was in the kitchen preparing their breakfast
They were both enjoying their new lifestyle, they pray for Chester everyday for changing their unhealthy lifestyle
Bonita dusted the whole sitting room, and moved to the store room, she had wanted to learn how to use the vacuum cleaner she saw in the store room. So she first examined the area of the vacuum where it deposits dirt, checking the vacuum height and moved all the smaller items out of the vacuum
She removed the five screws on the bottom guards using a screwdriver, Bonita turned the vacuum back over and plugged the cord into an electrical outlet, she was about turning the vacuum on when she heard a footsteps coming into the store room, she paused and glanced in the direction
Cassie took a step towards her, she screamed as she saw what her daughter was trying to do
“Do you want to get us killed?” Cassie yelled
Cassie was tired of Bonita inquisitive attitude, she has been excessively curious about things right from childhood
Cassie dragged her daughter roughly out of the store room back to the sitting room
“Even if you’re curious to know anything about the vacuum, there’s a vacuum cleaner user’s manual inside the carton, it gives instructions and information about everything you need to know,” Cassie hissed in dissaproval
They both heard the sounds of cars driving into the house, Bonita ran towards the window, she peeped through the curtains to see what was happening outside
She had wanted to escape from her mother and thankfully, someone came to her rescue, she couldn’t thank the person enough for saving her from her mother’s wrath
Chester walked into the sitting room with a young man behind him.
Immediately Cassie saw Chester, her frowned face turned to a smiling face as she hugged him tightly to herself and patted his back softly
“How are you doing Chester?” Cassie asked, beaming. She was happy and pleased to see him
“I’m good madam Cassie,” Chester simply replied and smiled at her
“Master Chester,” Bonita exclaimed and also hugged him as she waved at the young man standing behind him
Chester sat down on the sofa and told the young man that followed him to sit beside him
He opened his wallet, brought out a cheque and presented them a cheque for five hundred thousand dollars
Cassie and Bonita screamed and jumped up, holding the cheque with a trembling hands
“I want you to make use of the money wisely”
“Madam Cassie!” Chester called and turned to face her
“I want you to give your skin a proper treatment, I don’t like seeing wrinkles all over your face, I want you to look like my Mum, she’s in her mid-forties but she look twenty, I hope you understand me?”
Cassie nodded her head repeatedly already overwhelmed with excitement
Chester turned his gaze at Bonita as he spoke up again
“I want you to make me proud, try your best when you get to the college, you’re resuming tomorrow and I brought you this young man, James, to be your driver, your car is outside and if you need anything in school, just give me a call”
Chester stood up, he smiled briefly at James and walked out of the house
Cassie and Bonita stood in stunned silence, they were filled with emotional impact of overwhelming surprise and shock.
Cassie blinked in astonishment, she shut and open her eyes quickly, running out of the sitting room to catch up with Chester
“Why are you doing this? Do you like my daughter?” Cassie asked the question that had been bothering her mind
“Of course, I like your daughter,” Chester smiled at her pretending not to know her intentions
“I mean to say, maybe you’re in love with Bonnie,” Cassie scratched her hair nervously
“It’s not what you think Madam Cassie, I have a girlfriend, I just want to help with no strings attached,” Chester told her and placed a kiss on her forehead, he walked into his car and speed off
Cassie just stood still with her mouth wide open, she would have been the happiest person if Chester become her son-in-law, she felt a pang of remorse for asking him such a question
Then she walked slowly back to the sitting room, to meet her new driver, James.
