“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit” (Psalm 51:10-12)
A clean heart without spot of sin and iniquity is the heart God can work with. God is Holy and those who would be used of Him must be Holy like Him. “But as He which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. (1 Peter 1:15-16)
A lot of Christians want God to use them but they have not settled the issue of their hearts. God cannot use a man with a dirty heart. He cannot use a wicked heart and corrupt heart. A heart that still devices evil God can not dwell there.
Heart purity is a must for everyone who wants to serve God and who wants to go to heaven. It is the second work of grace; after salvation we need to pray to God for purification of heart so that we can be fit for God’s use. Sadly this purity of heart is often being sidelined in the Christian community today. A lot of Christians have refused to take the Matter of the heart seriously and that is the reason why they keep on falling and rising.
The truth is, until we have been purified by God, we can never truly stand for Him and be useful to to Him. At salvation the visible sins are purged and you are made clean but the root of sin remains until sanctification comes. The remover of the root of sin From our lives happens at sanctification then we can have a clean heart to serve the Lord the way we desires.
It is God’s desire that we walk before him perfectly and in Holiness but this can never happen until our hearts are made clean. Friends the topic of Purity is not new, we must have heard it over and over again but until it is an evidence in your own life, you cannot be free from falling and rising. There is no other reason behind your falling and rising, if not the fact you have an issue in your heart; and you cannot get this experience of purity unless you sincerely desire and hunger for it (Matthew 5:6)
It is often being said that, “The heart of the matter is the Matter of the heart” but we must settle the matter of our heart if we would really serve the Lord. Let’s make it a concern to desire and hunger for purity until we get purified. Remembering that “… without Holiness it is impossible to see God” (Hebrews 12:14)
Purity is the believers passport to heaven. All our zeal and work with God will amount to nothing on the Last day if we don’t have this purity of heart. God has promised to Puritfy as many who would hunger and thirst for the experience.
Today we must make up our minds that it is Purity or NOTHING, because all we truly need as believers is the be like Him. His purity is immeasurable and inexhaustible that we cannot get it all; but the prayer of purity is a prayer we must continue pray even when God has answered us until His image is deeply planted in our heart. This is what I hunger for. This is what I pray for every now and then, that I may Know Him, and the power of Resurrection so that I can live in the glory of His image deeply and firmly planted in my heart.
A lot of people pretend to be sanctified, they live morally, act purified, talk purified, dress purified but their hearts are dirty and unpurified. Why forge what can be real? If you want Purity why deceiving yourself when it can be a lifestyle for you? Purity is not in the dressing, it is not in the talking, it is not in your service, purity is in the heart. When you are pure it won’t just show in your dressing, it would show in the way you live and react to issues. You can deceive men with physical look but you can fake purity. If there is no evidence of purity in our hearts then it’s pointless to form activities.
Let us go to the Lord today and ask for a clean heart. He is willing and ready to Purify as many who would ask. “And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live” (Deuteronomy 30:6)
I’ve seen people who genuinely want to serve God, it is their Desire to obey God but they struggle, this is because serving God is not something that can be done by self. You cannot obey God completely with your human strength and flesh; but when He touches our heart it would be planted in us to obey God even when we don’t want to. Holiness would make you to love God above pleasure. It will make you make decisions to serve God without any Struggle. When God circumcise our hearts serving him becomes easy. It is only after when our hearts are circumcise that we would Love the Lord with all our hearts and soul.
This prayer of David the sweet Psalmist should not depart from the mouth of those who truly wants their heart purified. “Create in me a clean heart oh God renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence take not the Holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the Joy of thy salvation” (Psalms 51:10-12). Being broken and concrete in heart is fact that David was truly a man after God’s own heart. How about you and I? Don’t we need this immeasurable nature of God? Holiness is a must and let’s everyone of us seek it with the whole of our heart. “Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you” (Hosea 10:12)
“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:18). What a glory it has be if we can all be holy? But it’s unfortunate it’s only does who would hunger and thirst for righteousness or purity that must be filled. “There CANNOT be Holy Ghost baptism without A PURITY OF HEART” – Divine Secrets. I don’t know how people speak tongues and they are still falling and rising. I wonder, what spirit they are filled with but I thought it not to go beyond this but in conclusion, I want to say, Holiness is ALL we need if heaven is our goal, NOTHING MORE AND NOTHING LESS.
