“I’m sorry I had a minor accident on my way here that was what actually delayed me
Please I need this job, this is my only hope”, Bonita lost hope of going to the college if she wasn’t hired to work for them, she felt helpless and hopeless, she didn’t know when tears began to roll down her cheeks.
Ruby and Chester looked at each other, watching Bonita’s reaction, Chester had compassion on her, he disliked seeing anyone around him looking unhappy
Chester cleared his throat and spoke up, “You don’t have to cry, you’re hired”
“But Chester, Dad said we should hire just only four workers, Ruby protested, she was surprised by her brother’s decision just because a girl was crying.
“She will be working for me, I will be the one paying her salary”, Chester informed his sister and walked out of the hall as Ruby followed him.
Bonita jumped up and screamed, she was extremely happy, finally her dream will come to pass. She quickly brought out her phone from her purse and called her mother to give her the good news
“Chester why did you do that? I don’t understand why you need a personal maid
You’re always busy at the office, you stays at home only at night”, Ruby voiced out her opinion.
“She will be working for me at night when I’m around”, Chester started laughing as he noticed his sister’s gloomy face.
“Common it’s not what you’re thinking, I meant she will run an errands for me when I return from the office, Chester explained and hugged his sister
“I hope you’re not jealous of that girl”? Chester whispered in Ruby’s ear
“Do you like her”? Ruby asked, raising her eyebrows at him.
“I don’t know, Chester shrugged”
Ruby felt jealous and started crying, she pulled away from the hug and ran into her room
Chester sighed softly and followed his sister to her room, he sat beside Ruby on the bed and hugged her to himself…..
