Chester’s family were in a state of panic as the doctor stayed longer in the Operating theater
Gracelyn couldn’t stop her tears as she allowed it to roll down freely on her cheeks. She doesn’t want to lose her son that she just met a week ago
Gracelyn stood up and walked towards the entrance of the operating theater hugging herself and shivering violently.
Zoltan moved closer to her, his face just inches away from her, he hugged her to himself and kissed her forehead
Zoltan seemed uncertain and scared but he needed to stay strong for his love, Gracelyn was everything to him and he love her dearly
“Chester will be fine Amira, I hate seeing you like this, I wish I could take your pain away but I’m also hurting, I want you to know that I love you and I’m here for you,” Zoltan whispered and he started running his fingers through her hair
The soothing warmth slide down her throat, Gracelyn touched Zoltan’s face, then his hair and sighed softly

Ruby cried herself to sleep as Autry put her on his laps and placed her head on his chest.
She had been crying since they arrived at the hospital, Autry tried to stop her from crying but it was futile until she was finally exhausted by tears and slept off

Maddox and Henley felt so restless and unsettled, Maddox said nothing, afraid to trust his voice, he might break-down any moment from now
He couldn’t afford to lose his twin-brother, if he had known that things would turn out this way, he wouldn’t have said anything to his uncle
Maddox blamed himself for putting his twin brother in his present condition

Zane sat at the hospital corridor, he looked disturbed, Maynard that he had been searching for, he met him today and shot him just because he couldn’t control his temper
“If anything happen to him, I will not be able to forgive myself,” Zane murmured under his breath
He was disappointed in himself for hurting his nephew

The doctor came out of the operating theater and cleared his throat that he might get their attention
Everyone rushed to the doctor, curiosity flaring in their eyes
“How is my son?”
“How is my brother?”
“How is Maynard?”
They all chorused at the same time
The doctor looked at them, his expression was sober as he shook his head and held the stethoscope in his hand tightly
“We’ve tried our best to remove the bullet from his body successfully but he’s fighting for his life, I’m not making any promises, let’s be optimistic that he would survive”
They were all silent for few minutes after the doctor had left. Gracelyn emotions completely overwhelmed her and broke down in tears.
