Greta parked her car and rushed out of the car, she was in tears has she ran inside the house
Chester speedily stood up from the dining immediately he saw Greta looking dejected
Then she slowly moved to the dining where the family were eating, she couldn’t tell the difference between Maddox and Chester, but seeing one of them standing up, she quickly decoded that it was Chester, she fell on the floor, weeping profusely
Chester wanted to touch Greta and comfort her but Maddox pulled him back, he fell on the chair and glared at his twin brother
“Let her be,” Maddox mouthed to him
“Young lady, why are you here?” Gracelyn asked softly
She already knew what brought Greta to her house, she just wanted to clear her doubt
Greta wiped the tears in her eyes with her hand as she inhaled deeply
“Please Chester I’m sorry, I want you, I still love you,” Greta pleadingly looked at Chester
Maddox dropped his spoon on the dining table and clapped his hands together
“Great and wonderful speech, you think you can run back to Maynard’s arms because your boyfriend ditched you for his pregnant ex-girlfriend, a quick reminder dear Greta, ‘you cannot simultaneously retain your cake and eat it’. I won’t allow you to take advantage of Maynard again just because he’s soft-hearted, when you’re done crying, you can leave,” Maddox uttered
Greta crawled on her knees towards Chester and held both his legs tightly
“I’m not here because Josh broke up with me, I truly love you Chester, please take me back, I would have break up with Josh even if he didn’t broke up with me, you owns my heart Chester, I don’t want to make the same mistake that killed my sister, I want to marry for love, Please Chester…. Greta choked on her words, she was overwhelmed with emotion.
Chester pulled her to his laps and hugged her tightly, his index finger wiped the tears on her face
“Take a deep breath to steady your nerves”, Chester whispered in her ears. He took a cup of water on the table and gave it to her to calm her nerves
“You didn’t break up with me, did you?” Chester spoke in a hushed tone
Greta stared into his eyes, a look of puzzlement crossed her face
“I would have believed you if you’d called to tell me that you’re no longer interested in our relationship. I didn’t believe your text message because I know you still love me, I can only moved on when you say it with your mouth. I love you and I’ve been waiting for you to come back to me,” Chester spoke calmly
“I’m so sorry Chester, I was stupid, I wasn’t thinking straight…..”
“Shush! It’s okay, welcome back,” Chester hugged her again, stroking her hair gently, his shirt was wet with tears
Maddox raised his eyebrows as he crossed his arms around his chest, he stared at Chester in disbelief and shook his head
Zoltan and Gracelyn exchanged looks as they quietly watched Chester and Greta like a movie
“Excuse me please, I want to attend to my girlfriend, she look so pathetic,” Chester announced, he carried Greta out of the dining room and went upstairs to his room
“Mum! But her Dad killed ……” Maddox was interrupted by his mother’s voice
“I know there is a lot going on in your mind, Maynard is old enough to take a decision, allow him,” Gracelyn said as Maddox nodded his head in affirmative and continued eating his food.
