2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
I want you to understand that transformation from pride to humilty is a process. A man who always get angry is operating in a realm that’s difficult to leave. Even though he wish to, there are forces that will always bring him back. These forces are controlled by the evil spirit. The evil spirit is the chief controller of evil acts which anger is one of.
Ecclesiastes 7:9 Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.
The Bible make it clear that the heart of a FOOL is filled with anger, that is, anyone who get angry easily a nothing but a fool. Are you still in the state of a fool? Why did the Bible use the word fool? When someone gets angry easily, many opportunities will elude him. Many things will be hidden from him. Someone who get angry quickly have a little reasoning skills.
Humility is of the spirit while pride is of the the flesh. The two can’t operate together because spirit and flesh never agree. While someone who is in spirit is led by the spirit, someone who is in the flesh is led by the flesh. Someone in the flesh claim to own himself but someone in the spirit doesn’t have power over himself.
Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
To be in Christ simply means you have another heart different from the old one, and since there’s a new heart in you, it’ll be so difficult to act as of the old. That’s why David prayed to God when he wanted to become a new creature. He said,
Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Take for instance, when God created a new heart in Saul when he was converted to Paul, he was the direct opposite of who he was. His thinking was different. Likewise his way of life. Initially, he was used by the Devil to destroy the children of God but when God arrested him, he was used to edify the body of Christ.
Prayer
I know the importance of becoming a new creature in Christ and I want to be one. God, transform me into a new creature in Jesus name.
