I sat in my office attending to some clients that wanted to partner with my business
Richard’s company was the biggest company producing wine in Miami followed by my company. After a written agreement with the partners that invested their money into my business, I closed the meeting effectively by thanking them
“Dad” I heard Ria’s voice as she walked into my office
She’s the president of Nolan wine company. Ric has his own company and doing pretty good. So proud of my kids
“Mr Gerald is with your secretary” Ria informed me, dropping a file in her hand on my table
“Tell the secretary to let him in, I’m through with the meeting” I said. She nodded her head and left my office

“Good day Mr Nolan” Gerald uttered as he walked into my office
“Yeah” stretching my hand for a handshake
“What can I offer you”? I inquired as he sat in the chair with leg crossed
“I’m not here to be entertained” Gerald responded with a poker face
“You look worried – what’s the matter?”
“It’s about your son. I hate the way he’s treating my daughter. She’s beautiful, intelligent and hardworking. She doesn’t deserve to be treated like a trash” he responded
“I understand your point, but I’ve told you everything you need to know about Ric. You don’t expect him to change overnight, it’s a gradual process, just tell your daughter to be patient” I told him
“You have to get him a therapist, I think he needs one because I won’t hesitate to deal with him if he continues like this” he threatened
“You dare not hurt my son. Remember you are the one that brought the proposal not the other way around” I half-yelled
“I brought the proposal and you accepted it, I didn’t force you, did I?” he shouted
“Yes, I accepted it because I want the best for my son. So don’t threatened my son or else I will call off the agreement” I spoke sternly
“You dare not Nolan, they are engaged and the wedding will hold within next month, if your son try to break my daughter’s heart, I will have to break your son’s head” He gritted his teeth in silent fury
He slowly stood up from a chair and glared at me for a moment then walked out of my office angrily
