I’d gathered a vital piece of information about Richard’s family but it was full of knots. Parts of it had confusingly interrelated parts and it was difficult to understand, analyze and deal with.
Well, my duty is to try to deal with knotty and difficult problem. So I began to work on my laptop
According to my research, there was a familial connection between Richard and Gerald but Richard was the only lawful heir to Mr Robert’s fortune
“Richard was his father’s only heir, as he had no brothers or sisters” I saw it recently on the internet. On the contrary, this particular statements was not true because Mr Robert had two wives but the question is why did Mr Robert not recognised Gerald to be the lawful heir
Another situation requiring investigation and action was the case of Gerald threatening Ric’s Dad
An ideal fathers will like someone who is pious and compatible for their daughters, and wants nothing but the best for them and that includes one happy, healthy marriage. But Gerald didn’t want Mia to have the kind of marriage where she and her husband will be happy together and even realize it’s not always going to be smooth, but are willing to stick through it anyway. So I suspected he has an ulterior motives.
Gerald was a dangerous person, he was a threat and he was ready to put other people’s lives in risk
“It is time to start tracking both Gerald and Doctor Mich, using a tracking device to keep tabs on their every move, to always know thier whereabouts”
I slammed the laptop shut and stood up. I met Jadiel on the stairs as I was coming, the whites of his eyes were bloodshot and confused. He looked at me suspiciously through bloodshot eyes, shrugged, then brushed me aside and hurried out of the house
I climbed the stairs and entered Ric’s room. I found him relaxing in a chair next to the bed staring across the room. When he spotted me, he glanced up
“What happened between you and Jadiel?” I inquired
“He saw me kissing Aaliyah” Ric answered
I was deeply shocked to hear that from him, I wasn’t able to move I just stared at him for a moment. I felt happy and at the same time worried
No wonder Jadiel was upset while leaving the house
“Are you in love with Aaliyah?” I quizzed
“I don’t know but my thoughts return to her regularly, my Life feels more exciting, I always want to spend a lot of time together with her, I feel compassion for…..”
“Say no more, You’re in love” I told him. I already understood what he was trying to imply
“I hope you two are happy together” I added
“I broke my friend’s trust unintentionally, what should I do?” He asked
“Jadiel need extra time to heal, I know you’re worried about him, but everything will be just fine, give it time”
He was in a state of being uncertain and all he needed was a phrase of comfort in times of uncertainty
“Where is Aaliyah?” I inquired about her
“She is in her bedroom” he replied and we talked for a few minutes, then patted him on the shoulder and left the room
