When I got to Ric’s garage moments later, I saw Jadiel’s car leaving the house. I climbed into one of Ric’s car and drove fast. I arrived half an hour later to Jadiel’s house and parked out front
I rushed upstairs and searched desperately for his room. Thank goodness I was able to locate his room on time. I knocked on the door and waited for him to answer.
“Jose go away, I will hurt you” I heard Jadiel’s voice
I pushed the door opened and entered into his room. I saw him opening a wine bottle and took a sip. I looked at the wine, it contain 15% alcohol
I jumped up and seized his arm, then grasped the bottle
“What do you think you are doing?” He yelled
“Don’t hurt yourself” I spoke softly
“Why do you care?” He asked. He turned his head to watch me then said
“Ric took away the only thing that make me ultimately happy”
“You know we’ve been praying for Ric to change his mindset and embrace a new belief…..”
“Why must it be my Aaliyah. You know what? You should not meddle in the matter because you don’t understand” He spoke with emphasis
“We can’t teach over heart who to love, we only go to where our feelings lead us. Ric would not intentionally hurt you” I stated
“Get out of my house” He ordered
After a slight hesitation, he gazed up at me as he held the door open for me. I walked out of the room and he put his hand on his forehead in frustration
I envied Aaliyah, having two handsome and influential Men fell head over heels in love with her but she shouldn’t be the reason why their friendship ended
Jadiel felt betrayed but I knew it was hard for Ric to control who he fall for and he was even feeling guiltier
Life is unfair. Just because we develop feelings for someone doesn’t mean those feelings will be reciprocated. I had a huge crush on Jadiel for the past two years but he barely noticed me
I let out my breath on a sigh and crept downstairs, hardly making any noise. Then jogged to the car, and fought the morning traffic to the office
