“Why don’t you pay him a visit?” I heard Dad’s soft voice as he walked into my room
I dropped my phone on the table. I really enjoyed looking at Jadiel’s picture on my phone. Dad knew that I’ve had a crush on Jadiel for years. He knew my feelings by the look on my face because he was intelligent and highly observant of me
“How is Aaliyah and Ric?” I asked, trying to change the topic
“They are good. Kohen is highly skilled. Although, three of Ric’s bodyguards were injured in the attack but Kohen was able to protect Aaliyah and Ric” Dad responded
“I’ve called Ric this morning and I will also check up on them later in the day” I muttered
“You can go over to Jadiel’s house and then visit your brother later” Dad suggested
“He’s not in a good mood” I murmured
“We share love with others through kind acts such as a smile, a nice word, an unexpected deed. That’s all he need right now. Look at things from his perspective, try to be compassionate. Let him know that you can see why he’d feel the way he do” Dad stated and went to his room
I thought it over and decided to go, maybe I could get him over to like me. I got dressed and looked at the time, my heart pounding harder and harder as I moved towards the parking lot

As I entered the main house by the first entrance, hearing Jadiel’s loud voice, I popped my head in at the door.
“Jose why did you drive my car to school?” Jadiel asked
“Last time I checked, you rejected the car” Jose replied
“And who told you I rejected the car. It’s mine” Jadiel half-yelled
“You shouldn’t have turned away by not accepting it” Jose mumbled
“In the next ten minutes, If you don’t return my car keys, I will send you back to Dad’s house” Jadiel threatened
“Fine! I will return it” Jose grudgingly accepted
Their Dad was a very strict disciplinarian and Jose knew that he wouldn’t be able to live his amoral lifestyle
Jadiel turned away from his younger brother and saw me standing at the door, listening to them
“Hey Ria” He muttered
Jose greeted me and Jadiel then motioned for me to sit.
“You look so radiant” Jose complimented my look
“Foolish teenager, get out!” Jadiel yelled
“I will be twenty in a few months” Jose talked under his breath as he sluggishly climbed the stairs
“Till then!” Jadiel shouted. Then Jose paused, he rolled his eyes and made a face.
Suppressing the urge to laugh wasn’t easy, but I managed it and smiled widely instead.
“I’m sorry, It was wrong of me to talk to you the way I did a few days ago. I realise that I struggle with controlling my anger, and it’s not fair to other people when I snap at them” Jadiel said to me
For one horrible long moment Jadiel was silent and still, his eyes closed in concentration for a ten-count and all at once looked cheerfully with his glittering, black eyes at me
“I need to know more details about what happened yesterday. So I’m going to check up on Ric and Aaliyah” My voice cut into the silence
“I will accompany you” He mouthed and went upstairs to his room to dress up
