Aaliyah dropped to the bed and sighed heavily. My phone vibrated from its place on the stand beside the chair. I picked up my phone and view the text message.
“I’m sorry”
And with a glance round, I smiled at her and she smiled back
“It’s not your fault that you’re attracted to multiple people at once” I said to her
“We are travelling to Millan now” I added and her eyes widened a bit as though for a second she did not comprehend. I held her hand and squzeed it, walking out of the room.
“Where are you going?” Ria asked me when we got back to the living room
“I’m travelling to Milan with Aaliyah” I replied
Ria was shocked and surprised that I’d not mentioned the trip to her earlier, her eyes were just popping out of my head.
Jadiel stood up abruptly, he rushed over to me, his eyes were still filled with displeasure and disdain.
“You want to take her away from the man who has been a friend to her” Jadiel’s voice was surprisingly calm.
“I hurt your feelings, and I’m sorry, If there’s anything that I can do to make this up to you, please just ask.” I said to him
He strode to Aaliyah, wrapped his hand around her, he stroked her hair and kissed her forehead, while tears coursed down her cheeks as well. He wiped the tears from her face and kissed her cheeks then drew her into a hug as he spoke to her. “I’ll see you soon!”
He gave me a last threatening look and stalked off
Kohen drove us to the airport and protectively told me to look after myself and Aaliyah. When we got dropped off at the airport, I gave a sincere thank you to him, and headed to check-in.
