The Jesus Slay Queens 2: Episode 4

© Ayo Omolayo

“What happened?” Susan asked.

“Read it!” I said and handed her my bible.

“Oh? You mean John 11 verse 4!” She replied smiling.

“Yes! You said it in your sleep.”

“Really?”

“Yes!”

“Wow! This is awesome!” She exclaimed.

“When we were praying, the Lord spoke through me that we should stop praying and appreciate God for answering the prayers. So we thanked God for an hour and that was how we got that scripture in the prayer room.

That was part of the reason why we ended the prayers and left the Intercession.”

“Why didn’t you tell me?”

“You didn’t ask. Instead, you were looking for Ella all over the house.”

I grinned and shook my head.

“I can’t believe it. This is good news!”

“I was dreaming sef. I saw an angel pointing at the wall and I saw it boldly written, John 11 verse 4. I read it from the wall. I didn’t know that immediately I said John 11 verse 4, I said it in reality on my bed and you heard it.”

“Wow!” I exclaimed excitedly and burst into laughter.

I can’t believe this is what was going on all this while and I was busy giving daddy attitude. Haaaa! This is so overwhelming. It’s beyond me.”

Soon we could hear the gates opening and a strange vehicle drove into the compound. That was how we both rushed downstairs to know who it was.

We opened the door and met some strange men. They were four in number.

“Good morning sir!” We greeted as if we had rehearsed it.

“Good morning ladies. Pastor Bukola gave me this address. He said there was a dead person that needed to be moved to the mortuary. Is there a dead person here?”

We were trying to rack our brains. Telling him that there was someone dead in our house was as good as telling Ope bye forever.

We were still contemplating within ourselves what would be the right answer to give when one of the men walked passed us and enter the house.

Soon, he appeared at the door to call his colleagues.

“This whole place is begining to stink. He announced.

They all rushed to meet him, walking passed us. We ran into the house and met them carrying Ope’s lifeless body.

“Haaaa! This girl is not dead ooo! Please leave her!” I shouted.

“Young lady, I understand you’re a woman of faith. But please, allow us to do our job!” Their leader said.

“No! You cannot take her out of the place. She came her to be healed. Fejiro died because she made the mistake of dying in the hospital. But this one was lucky enough to die in the house of a priest of the ancient diety.

So the ancient diety is here to prove himself that he is a life giver. He’s here to prove that he has conquered death and that the grave cannot have power over his chosen.” I said as I stood, blocking their path from stepping out.

The man hissed and looked at me contemptuously.

“Madam ancient diety. Whee was your ancient diety when my father died? I begged him to spare my father and all he did was to make sure he sucks breath out of him untill he was lifeless.

God is not a life giver. There are things he can do and I there are somethings that are too impossible for him to do! Out of my way madam ancient spirit!” He said and pushed me aside.

I fell to the sofa, but I was still trying to process what he had just told me. It looked as if what he said was yet to sink into my head.

Suddenly the door opened and what I saw, or should I say who I saw got me amazed.

Mummy Abayomi!

Somebody shout hallelujah! Oh my God! How did she get here? When did she arrive Nigeria? Wait, was this real?

“Julie baby! Why are you staring at me like I’m a ghost. I have missed your hugs. Please come my darling!” She said spreading her arms wide.

Susan and I dived into her arms. Mummy Oladimeji also followed and a younger woman. They brought in her traveling bags and other things.

“What is that smell in here?” Mummy Oladimeji asked.

Soon, the Daddy and Mummy Ope came downstairs. Mummy Ope ran to meet mummy, immediately she saw her.

“God bless you ma! Thank you so much for coming back to Nigeria for me! You will not lose your reward in Jesus name!” She said on her knees before the woman of God.

“Can we please take this corpse out of here?” The leader of the mortuary attendants asked arrogantly.

“That’s not a corpse please. Thank you so much, but your services are no llonger needed!” Mummy said.

“Anita! Please pay these men for their services rendered so they can be on their way!” She said to mummy Oladimeji.

I was loving the way mummy was sounding. I was already bubbling with so much excitement within me. This was going to be my first time to witness a dead person raised back to life. I had heard testimonies of how God used mummy to call back dead people to life. Today, I was going to see it live and direct.

“Can we have your account details please?” Mummy Oladimeji asked the man.

He frowned and hissed.

“Let’s get out of this place. When they discover that their God is powerless, they would come looking for us!” He said to his men, in the hearing of everyone.

“Haaaaa! Abomination!” The young lady that came with mummy shouted.

Mummy raised her hand, signalling her to be calm.

“Mr……..” She stressed, expecting him to give her his name.

“Paul!” He answered frowning.

“Mr Paul! Please don’t go yet. I have something for you!” She said and took his hand as she walked to the sofa where the dead Ope was lying.

She touched Ope’s hand and tried to raise it, but it was stiff. So strong and unbendable.

I made sure I took my position beside mummy. This was something I needed to see very well. I was wishing I had my android phone here with me so I could record the event. But I was scared of running upstairs to get it. Before I would be back, the miracle would have already happened. And there was no way I could say to Mummy that I was going to get my phone to record the event. She would not allow it.

Mummy went on her knees beside Ope and prayed in whispers. Then she came face to face with Ope and breathe into her nostrils.

“Ope! Wake up!” She commanded with a loud voice.

We all stood, expecting Ope to sneeze and open her eyes, but nothing happened.

Mummy stood up with a broad smile on her face.

And turned to us.

“She’s alive!”

“Ahhhhh! But nothing happened!” Mummy Ope was saying when Ope sneezed.

“Jesus!” I shouted.

“Hallelujah!” Susan screamed.

“Glory to God!” Mummy Oladimeji said.

“The ancient diety has proved himself!” The young lady that came with mummy said.

“My Ope is back!” Mummy Ope announced.

Daddy Ope said nothing. He stood there wondering if this was a dream.

Ope could not move her body. It was so stiff and hard like a rock. We tried to make her sit on the sofa, but her waist was not bending.

“No don’t do that! Allow heat to flow through her body and her blood to circulate her properly. Gradually, her joints will begin to activate by themselves,” mummy cautioned.

“You can also get hot water ready and massage her body for quick recovery.

Ella and the daddy of the house came downstairs to meet the jubilation going on in the living room.

“My handsome Yomi!” Mummy called as she sighed her husband and ran to meet him like a little child.

They embraced each other like two love birds. Ella hugged her mother tightly.

“I missed you so much mum!”

“Me too!”

“Did you come back all because of her?” Ella asked.

“No! I was supposed to come back yesterday.”

“Really? How come you never told us? Ella asked.

“I wanted to surprise you guys!” She answered grinning.

“Well it wasn’t much of a surprise!” Daddy said.

Mummy rolled her eyes

“Oh really? Is it because I told you?” She asked.

“So she told you?” Ella asked, turning to her father.

“What?” He asked smiling.

“Haaaaa! You people are wicked ooo! How come you knew mummy was coming and you allowed me to be running helter skelter? It’s not fair!”

“If I had told you, I’ll be spoiling the surprise,” daddy said.

“At least, I deserved to know. No matter the surprise you guys were planning.”

“Sorry baby girl! When you open my bags, you’ll forget your bitterness by the time you see what I brought for you.” Mummy said.

While the family were lost in their little get together, Mr Paul and his team walked out, even though his team left reluctantly. He almost dragged them out.

As soon as I noticed they were going out. I stood up and ran after them.

“Mr Paul!” I called.

They were already seated in their vehicle.

“He chooses to bring this one back, but chosed not to bring my father back. I guess he never loved me at all!” He said and tapped the driver to take them out of the compound.

“No sir! Will a man judge God?”

“Yes! I’ll judge him! Let him strike me to death. I don’t care! I will judge him for what he did to me. He’s wicked! He killed mine but brought this one back to life. I guess I was nothing to him. All my service to him was nothing!

I will judge him. I’m not afraid! If he likes he can kill me for judging him. I don’t care.

My friend, drive this car!” He shouted at the driver.

The driver turned on the ignition and drove out of the compound.

I returned to the house and met mummy jumping on daddy’s back.

I was almost telling her to stop her play, we had just lost a soul.

“Mummy! Mr Paul has left!”

“That’s not an issue. We have his contact with us. Ope’s father. Let me play with my boyfriend first or can you carry me like he does?” She asked.

“No ma! I will collapse!” I said giggling.

It’s amazing how my mentor is all spiritual and the next minute carnal.

It looked as if she wasn’t zealous for soul winning. She was so carried away with her husband.

“JULIET, ALLOW THE MADAM TO ENJOY HERSELF. SHE HAS BEEN AT THE BATTLEFIELD FOE SO LONG. INFACT, I’M HANDING OVER MR PAUL’S CASE TO YOU!”

“Me?” I asked.

“OF COURSE! MY 911 SOLDIER. YOU’RE GOING TO GO AFTER HIM AND SLAY HIM FOR ME!”

“Daddy, you mean me?”

“WHO ELSE, BUT MY BEAUTIFUL 911 SOLDIER?”

“Daddy don’t tease me! You know I’m not capable.”

“I HAVE NEVER CALLED A CAPABLE MAN BEFORE. ASK MOSES! ASK JEREMIAH! IN FACT, IF YOU’RE CAPABLE, YOU’RE NOT ON MY LIST.

I CALL THE INCAPABLE AND DO A LITTLE WORK ON THEIR STATUS. I DELETE THE IN FROM THE CAPABLE AND THEY’RE JUST PERFECT FOR MY MISSION.

BUT FOR NOW, GO AND ENJOY YOUR BABY GIRL THAT JUST CAME BACK TO LIFE.”

“Daddy! Thank you so much for bringing Ope back to me. You don’t know how much this means to me. I’m so grateful. You’re my one in a million friend!” I said with so much joy and raced down to sit beside Ope on the sofa.

“Opeyemi! How are you?”

“Mama Juliet!” She said with a beautiful smile on her face.

“I shall call you Ope Lazarus henceforth. Because you died and rose again! Yes, that would be nice. Ope Lazzy!”

My heart leapt with joy as I heard her chuckle.

To be continued……….

I feel like dancing right now.

Ope has a new name now! Ope Lazarus! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣🤣

Sometimes God might be so slow. God might be so quiet. And everything around keeps saying he cannot do anything about your situation.

A lie Satan will always remain happy to tell. But God is ever faithful. He always shows up and turns the table around.
