I opened my eyes and discovered I was being carried by someone. My eyes were so heavy so they shut themselves on their own accord. Soon I opened them again and I realized I was carried like a baby in man’s arms.
I looked into his face and saw him smiling at me.
I didn’t have the strength to smile back so I groaned as a response.
He smiled and made a gesture to me that all was well.
Soon, he stood beside the road and laid me down on the ground. He took his place beside me.
It was a bushy path. We just arrived at the express way, but it seemed as if there were no vehicles passing. Only a few passed by.
The man sat beside me staring at me. He didn’t seem in a hurry to get me to the hospital. He was so peaceful and full of smiles.
I kept my eyes on him with keen interest.
The last thing I remembered was being stabbed in the belly. Then someone was saying they should carry my body and dump me somewhere.
I guess that was how I landed in the bush path. They dumped my body somewhere expecting me to die, but this good Samaritan found me and rescued me. Hallelujah!
I was still looking at the man when he looked at me and suddenly stood up.
“In a five minutes you’ll pass out again. But don’t be afraid. A car will find you a few minutes after you pass out and take you to the hospital. There you’ll be reunited with your mentor and your sisters.
“Sir! Who are you?” I asked in a choked up voice.
“Juliet! You mean you don’t recognize my voice? You asked for my help! And I showed up! Your stubbornness finally did something good in your life,” he said grinning.
I have as still trying to comprehend what he said when slowly like a movie, he was fading away. His image became faint and faint till it was completely gone.
Do you mean the man just disappeared before my very eyes?
It was then it occurred to me that my prayers had been answered. God came to prove himself. I looked at my stomach where I was stabbed. The wound was very fresh. My blood had stained my inner wear and my skirt. I was stabbed. But how come I’m still alive.
At least when someone was stabbed, they don’t come back to life. So the question is, did I die? I don’t think so. Did I pass out? That’s what I think happened. Because right now, I feel I’m passing out again. I was just feeling dizzy.
If truly I had died, I would have had a life after death experience. But since that didn’t happen, it meant one thing. Just like I said about Apostle Paul, I was assumed to be dead. Wow!
Those were my last thoughts before everything went dark. I smiled as I saw the car approaching and shut my eyes.
The next time I opened them, mummy was there in company with Ella and Susan.
“Hallelujah!’ the girls shouted.
They were extremely excited to see I had regained consciousness.
“Where am I? Is this home or a hospital?” I asked.
“A hospital my dear! You look so battered and seriously need the doctor’s attention,” mummy answered.
The doctor appeared with a nurse at his side.
“How are you feeling?” He asked.
There was complete silence in the ward.
“I feel okay. Just the pains!” I answered.
“You’re really a lucky one. Whoever stabbed you meant to kill you. But I don’t understand how the person wasn’t able to pierce any vital organs in your body. True the weapon penetrated you. But didn’t cause any internal damage.
What’s more surprising is that you didn’t lose much blood. It was as if your blood refused to step out of your body. Despite the cut created by the knife, only a little amount of blood came out.
Does that mean your blood was following someone’s instructions? I’m just joking!” He said and chuckled.
We all looked at the doctor with a confused expression.
“I mean normally, when there is an opening that obstructs the flow of blood is the body system, the blood tends the slip out of the body through that opening, except there is a conscious attempt to hold back the blood and stop the person from bleeding.
But today I was something I had never seen in all my years of medical expertise. The blood in a person’s body regulated itself. Gave out only a little and kept the rest so the owner can live. And the most touching part of it was that the wound was not tended.
It was left open. That should be enough to kill the wounded person, but no. The blood in this girl’s body system regulated itself. Stayed in the body, and right now, it’s flowing as if there is no cut or wound.
Miss Juliet, I think I would need some of your blood to conduct a test on it. I believe we are about to discover a new kind of blood group or something.
I am tempted to call it a living blood.”
Right now I was just smiling. Someone was listening to me while I was declaring the word. Hallelujah.
“I’m a doctor, but I also love to see myself as a researcher. I am really interested in this living blood!”
“Doctor! Do you know that the living blood can be in your veins today? Do you know it can enter into your body right now?” Mummy asked.
Sharp woman! She was already seizing the opportunity to minister God’s word to him.
“Really?” The doctor asked.
“Yes!”
“So do you mean her blood was alive? Do you mean it was regulating itself?”
“Of course! Because she’s carrying the blood of the crucified Christ. That blood that speaks better things than the blood of Abel. Yes! It’s available for everyone who wants to accept Christ.”
“Can we continue this discussion outside. Our patient needs to go back to rest now.” He said and with that he and mummy left us in the ward.
Ella and Susan sat beside me on the bed, all smiles.
“So tell us what it felt like to die and come back to life?” Susan asked.
I gave her a surprised expression.
“I didn’t die! If I died I would have gone to the great beyond and have a near death experience. I would have seen and spoken with angelic beings. But as far as I’m concerned, there was no such thing. So that leads us to one thing. I was unconscious and now, I’m conscious again.”
I began my story from how I left the house in the morning. I told them about my chit chat with Fejiro and how I ended up slapping her for telling me the truth. I went on to tell them about Romeo’s proposal and how it made me understood he was threatened to play a role in ensuring I fell into the net of the enemy.
I went on to tell them of how the the school lied of mummy’s visit and how I ended up getting a two weeks suspension.
Then I told them of how Angela decieved me into following her to the place where they wanted to initiate me. I also narrated how I fought with about 15 ladies just to escape and ended up badly beaten and stabbed.
It was really a terrible experience for me.
“Wow! You are really a survivor!” Ella said as she raised used her hands to feel the bandage across my belly.
“Please don’t touch it ooo!” I said as her hands were moving towards the place where I was stabbed.
“It’s the same spot!” She gasped.
“What’s the same spot?” I asked.
“Susan! So you call this a coincidence that Juliet and mummy have a scar on their stomach at exactly the same spot!” She said smiling.
I was shocked. I looked at the tow of them for more explanation, but they were not saying anything, so I had to ask.
“Do you mean Mummy was also stabbed like me when she was much younger?”
“Yes! But it wasn’t a knife that stabbed her. It was the spirit of death that came to demand for justice!” Ella answered.
I was more confused. Was she saying a spirit stabbed mummy physically and she almost died? What exactly was she trying to say?
“I don’t understand! Please explain all that happened to me!”
“Juliet it’s a long story! A really, really long story!”
“I have time! Tell me everything! How did mummy get that scar on her belly?”
“Sin came to demand for justice. Just as it came to demand justice in your case. We all knew you were guilty so we had to ask God to show mercy. Mercy is like cheating justice. We deserve death, but instead of death, we got a new life. We deserve to be punished, but instead of being punished, we were loved.
Oh the mercy of God! Juliet! God’s mercy is what saved you! He came to rescue you at a time when you don’t deserve him. Not because of anything special that you did. But because he was so merciful.
Yes! Juliet never take any credit for your unwavering faith. It was mercy that even made you have an unwavering faith in the first place. If not, you would have given up and surrendered to the waiting arms of death.
It was nothing but God’s mercy. Don’t take any credit for it. Oh I had an unwavering faith! No! Oh I was stubborn to the devil! No! Oh I had people who were praying for me! No!
It was God’s grace and mercy that placed all these people around you. It was God’s grace and mercy that made you unwilling to handover your destiny to the Devil. It was God’s grace and mercy that strengthen your faith and made it to even smile at death and tell him that he cannot touch you!
So don’t share Gods glory with him. Just give him all the glory! Without him, you can do nothing. Everything you were able to accomplish was possible because he was there to help and permit you.”
I smiled as I looked into Ella’s eyes. It was as if she was saying everything that was going on in my heart. Some part of me was already hailing myself for being brave. Some part of me was ready to gist my sisters on how I fought bravely as if I was the hero who rescued myself.
But God had just showed me another level of mercy when he stopped me from giving in to pride. Pride would have turned him against me. Pride would have made him withdraw his grace from me.
Thank you so much sweet Jesus!
“Ella! I must confess, I didn’t deserve what God did for me. I don’t deserve it. He should have allowed me to pay heavily for my sins. He should have punished me so badly that I would spend years regretting why I disobeyed God.
But he punished me less than I deserve.”
“Yes! Because we has an assignment for you. Aunty Rhema is waiting for you! Your future husband is waiting for you and your generation, they are all counting on you!
Juliet! It would be a great pain in God’s heart that after this dramatic experience, you still went back to rebellion. You may not have this opportunity again. You know very well that this incident happened to restore you back to God.
Please, don’t make it a waste. Now is the time to go back to Broadway academy a soldier with a flaming sword. Ready to cut down lesbians and slay boys for God.
Thank God they have placed you on two weeks suspension. This suspension was not a mistake. It was divinely orchestrated. Make use of the opportunity to boost your spiritual power and go back to Broadway and warrior. Not the weakling they saw you as, but a great fighter.”
“You don’t need to tell me!” I interrupted.
“What?” Ella asked.
“I’m going back to Broadway academy for war!”
To be continued……..
Hallelujah! Juliet is back!
Daddy has showed his mercy once again! This daddy is such a merciful daddy!
