I woke up that morning as soon as my alarm sounded. I barely slept that night. How could I dare to sleep when I just saw Lucifer for the first time in my life. Apart from that, I wasn’t binding Satan in my dream. Rather, he was going to bind me.
Why would God give Satan such a decree over my life? When I said it earlier that God likes looking for my trouble, you’ll say I talk too much. I feel like crying! Satan was coming to finish me like he did to Job.
“God I’m not Job! I don’t have the kind of faith Job has. If you take my father away from me, you’ll get a lot of insults. You know me very well! I’m not a pretender. I’ll say it as plainly as it appears in my heart.
Please! Don’t allow Satan kill my father! If he kills him, I’ll kill myself! You know me more than I do. You know I’m not like Job. I am not a faithful servant.
Please send Lucifer back to the pit of Hell!”
Who would believe I had been fooling everyone in order to have breakfast to eat? I would sing for 45 minutes and pray for 15 minutes. That was my one hour prayer. Impressive right?
I’m trying my best! Why is pleasing God so difficult? Why is everything so difficult? Why was it so difficult to do what God wants me to do? I felt so frustrated.
I sat down on the bed and began to sing.
“Lord I want to know you
Better than I know me
Teach me Lord to know your ways
To know your truth
Rid me of the pride of this world
So that I can see you clearly
Teach me Lord to know your ways”
I sang and in no time I felt goose bumps on my skin and felt the presence of God so strongly. The only experience I could link to what was happening was what happened to me at the meeting where mummy ministered.
“God! What is happening to me?” I asked in fright.
Soon, I felt my entire body vibrating. Like I was having this strange cold. I knew it wasn’t natural.
“Daddy! What’s happening?”
“Have you been baptized in the Holy Ghost?” Came the question.
“No! Why would I be baptized in the Holy Ghost when I’m always living in sin?”
“You don’t need to be holy to be filled with the Holy Ghost! Infact, you need the Holy Ghost in order to be holy”.
“But at least, he won’t come into a dirty place. My life is very dirty. I’m a sinner. I eat sin everyday. I’m not a place where such a Holy being can dwell”, I replied.
“Can you be Holy by your own strength?”
“No!”
“So what makes you think you must deserve the Holy Ghost before you get baptized in the Holy Ghost?”
“I didn’t even ask for the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Why are you giving me what I didn’t ask for?”
“Juliet! Are you sending me away?”
“I’m sorry sir! Please forgive me! I can’t believe I said something that terrible. Please don’t allow this my mouth to send you away!” I pleaded almost crying.
There was no response anymore. It was as if he had left. I broke into tears and threw myself on the floor.
“Father I want the Holy Ghost!” I screamed aloud.
My scream shook the entire house. Susan who was praying at a corner had to rush and attend to me.
Soon, I heard footsteps. The door opened and Ella appeared at the door.
“What happened?” She asked.
“What happened? Susan tapped me.
“I was so stupid! I’m too stubborn! I sent the Holy Ghost packing!” I said admist tears.
Immediately, Ella went down on her knees and bowed her face to the ground.
“Daddy! You can’t resist this voice! Where are you my darling darling ooo!
Your baby is calling on you ooo
Darling! Come back please!”
Immediately, it was as if something hit me. I screamed aloud and jerked. My body began to shake violently.
“Thank you darling! You’re the best boyfriend a girl like me can ever have!” Ella said and stood up.
She walked up to meet me on the floor and lowered herself close to me.
Soon I felt hot air on my face as she breathed on me.
“Receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost!” She decreed.
I exhaled and spread out my hands.
I’m very certain of one thing. Everywhere in the bible where the baptism of the Holy Spirit took place the bible always said something. They spoke in tongues.
Once the baptism of the Holy Ghost takes place, the next thing that happens is the speaking of tongues. That’s what I read in the bible.
And they were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in new tongues. That was what was written everywhere in the bible when people received the Holy Ghost.
I had never spoken in tongues in my life before. I was so happy I was going to burst into tongues tonight. I have heard Susan praying in tongues several times. I so much envied it. Praying in tongues was what made it easy for everyone in the house to stay long in the place of prayers.
Infact, they all pray in tongues more often than they pray in words.
I was expecting something dramatic to happen and I’ll suddenly burst into tongues, but nothing happened.
“Lord! Please do not pass me by! Baptize me with the Holy Ghost and fire!” I prayed.
“Juliet! Do you believe God can baptize you right now?” Ella asked.
“Yes! I believe!”
“Then open your mouth!”
I quickly opened my mouth expecting the dramatic to happen. Nothing happened.
I knew it from the onset. I knew the Holy Ghost will never possess a sinful vessel like me. What was I thinking? Asking a Holy Spirit, a spirit without blemish to come into my sinful body? I was only fooling myself with my tears.
“Juliet! You don’t need to be holy for the Holy Ghost to baptize you. It’s the Holy Ghost that will even help you to become holy in the first place. All you need to do is to ask God for him”, Ella said.
“Susan, please get me that bible over there”, she said and Susan rushed to get the bible on the bed.
She took it and began flipping through it’s pages.
Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
Verse 10. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Verse 11. If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
Verse 12. Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
Verse 13. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” She read to my hearing.
“I don’t know Ella! I don’t know why it’s so difficult! I have prayed and fasted for the baptism of the Holy Ghost, yet it never happens”, I said admist tears.
“Stop those tears! Who told you that you need to fast to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost? You don’t fast to be baptized in the Holy Ghost. You simply desire and hunger for the experience”, Ella said and closed the bible.
“Maybe that’s the problem. Maybe I’m not hungry enough! Perhaps I was just asking for it because others were asking for it. God knows I’m such an unserious girl. So why will he give such a precious and priceless Jewel to a pig, a swine like me?”
Ella covered her face with her palm in frustration. She was so sad and I knew I was the cause.
Susan stepped forward and knelt beside me in the floor. Placing one hand on my shoulder, she smiled at me.
“Juliet! You’re not a swine. You’re Abba’s daughter. I was once like you. I was never good enough for the Holy Spirit to had a good reason why he should baptize me.
But all I did was to ask and believe. And immediately, he showed up and filled me”.
I started crying.
“Please lay your hands on me! Get mummy for me! I know if someone lay hands on me like the Apostles did, I would receive the Holy Ghost”.
Susan shook her head in negation.
“No! You don’t need anyone to lay hands on you. You can get baptized in the Holy Ghost on your own. Just follow this instructions I’m about to give you.
The Holy Ghost is more ready to fill you than you you ever know. Infact if you read the story of the prodigal son. The bible says when the sin decided to return to the father and was approaching the house. The father saw him afar off and what did he do?”
“He started running to be reunited with his missing son”, I answered.
“Good! While you are walking to meet God, one step, two steps, three steps. God is not taking one step, he’s in a race. He rushes to grab you and will never let go of you. That’s God for you. While you’re walking to meet him. He’s running to meet you. Then imagine if you are running to meet God? He will not only increase his speed, he will start flying to meet you”
I don’t know how laughter escaped my lips. Susan was also smiling as she spoke.
“That’s beautiful! Isn’t it?” She asked grinning.
“Yes!” I answered and wiped off the tears on my face.
“Now here’s the instructions. When you start praying and asking for the Holy Ghost. You’ll begin to feel some sensations in your body, physically. It’s a sign of the presence of the Holy Ghost filling you.
Listen the Holy Ghost is already in you. The moment you got born again the Holy Ghost entered you. But can I ask you a question?”
“Ask!”
“If I give you a cup of achohol to drink, will you be drunk?”
“No”.
“What if I keep giving it to you until your stomach is completely full, will you be drunk?”
“Yes”, I answered.
“That’s exactly what the baptism of the Holy Ghost is all about. That’s why they call it the Holy Ghost will fill you. Come on girl! Let’s get drunk. That’s why in church when you see ladies drunk with the Holy Ghost, they start misbehaving. When people get drunk they start staggering.they start uttering what people who do not know God call nonsense. But it makes a lot of sense to us all.
Baby girl; are you ready to get drunk and scatter this house?”
I was smiling now.
“Yes please”.
“Now this is the secret. As you start praying, you begin to feel those sensations. It’s normal, continue the prayers. But as you continue praying, you’ll begin to hear tongues in your spirit. You begin to hear your inner voice speaking in tongues. Don’t say it’s just me deceiving myself. That’s the Holy Ghost filling your spirit man. That’s the Holy Ghost giving you utterance.
All he wants you to do is to take the step of faith. Open your mouth and say those tongues you’re hearing from within you. A man cannot receive anything, except it is being given to him from above.
Don’t doubt! Don’t be scared! A lot of people do question themselves if what they are hearing is not something they made up. No! The heart of man is nothing but a listener. All the thoughts that comes into your heart is the work of a spirit. And that spirit deceiving you to doubt God is the Devil.
Now close your eyes and gently follow the instructions I just gave you”.
I closed my eyes.
“Father please, fill me with the Holy Ghost!”
Immediately, I started having goose bumps all over my skin. I felt cold sensations in my body.
I grit my teeth as the tickling sensation were so overwhelming. I was now acting like someone who was being possessed. But this was a good possession.
“Juliet! Open your mouth! He will fill it! Stop resisting the urge to burst into tongues”.
“Aaah…….” I screamed.
“That’s it! Say it don’t close your mouth! Open your mouth! God will fill it. He’s giving you what to say in your heart right now! Say it! Don’t be scared.
“Rakateri brahanarikole!” I spoke and screamed so loud. I stood up and jumped so violently like a crazy lady. I staggered and crashed on several things in the room.
“Yes! Hahaha! Thank you Jesus! She’s drunk! She’s crazy! She’s misbehaving right now!” Susan said aloud in excitement.

Many of us have been asking for the baptism of the Holy Ghost, but we don’t know we are actually the one resisting it from happening.
We struggle with opening our mouth when he gives is utterance. We think it happens automatically that our mouths will just open on its own.
You don’t need someone to lay hands on you before you get baptized. I remembered how many people came to me to talk about the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I taught them this same thing and sent them off to pray for it. They came back testifying.
Please go ahead and look for a quiet place and kneel down. It’s going to be dramatic (You’ll sometimes lose control of yourself) so it’s advisable to look for a place where you won’t be distracted and do the prayers.
Connect to the spirit and be focused. It doesn’t take long. Immediately, your body starts reacting as you pray. Just make sure you listen to to that inner voice as it gives you utterance. Say it and stop being scared.
You asked God for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. So who is that devil deceiving you that it is a demon?
Verse 11. If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
Verse 12. Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
Verse 13. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”
Why do you allow Satan to frighten you that your heavenly father will allow a demon possess you instead of the Holy Ghost you asked for?
He won’t give you a stone when you ask for bread. Go ahead and ask him.
