Lair was infuriated as he kept pacing the room with his hands clenched to his side. God, he would kill that bastard!
“I swear I’ll kill that animal with my two bare hands. That lunatic, how dare he?” Lair roared while he kept pacing. He couldn’t believe Cale could do such a thing. Well he shouldn’t be so surprised because humans are bound to do the unimaginable.
Human beings should never surprise you. He had always told himself.
Amy was also mad when Jake told them all that happened. If that imbecile was here right now, she’ll tear him into pieces, limb by limb.
This was too much. What did Jade do to suffer such an ill fate? Hadn’t he done enough already? She had seen how broken Jade was when he betrayed her, but wasn’t this too much? Was it a crime for her to have fallen in love with a beast like him? That animal should be grateful that a girl like Jade gave him a piece of time talk more of four whole years, and he still have the guts to put her in this condition?
“Someone should toss that guy in a grave and bury him alive!” Amy snapped. The more she thought about it the more livid she became. The cruelty was too much.
“Who was that person who hired the thugs you talked about?” Lair asked. He remembered Jake had mentioned about someone trying to hurt Jade before that sleazeball kidnapped her.
Jake hesistated a bit before replying, “Yeah, it was one of her colleagues”
“Don’t tell me it’s bitch Stephanie?” Amy snapped making Jake turn to look at her as he was slightly surprised.
“You know her?” Jake asked.
“So she’s the one.” It didn’t sound like she was asking, it was more like she was confirming her suspicion.
Jake sighed warily as he nodded his head.
Amy jerked up to her feet in anger. “Those devils” She roared, while Lair’s face went five shades darker with anger.
“The nerve they have. Wasn’t making a fool of her and breaking her heart enough?!” Amy asked derisively.
Jake looked at the siblings confusedly. What has Stephanie got to do with Cale? Was the question he was asking right now.
Lair turned to Jake and asked, “Tell me you’re going to kill that bastard and that stupid whore of his or I will” Lair snarled. He would derive pleasure in squeezing the life out of that animal in the form of a man. He would smash his head against the wall, breaking his cranium before dismembering every part of his body. And that Stephanie girl, God help her.
Jake kept staring at the sibling as he tried to put two and two together.
His eyes widen when it seemed like it finally realized something, but he was too scared to confirm it. He didn’t want to confirm what he was thinking was true, but nevertheless he still found himself asking, “Was Stephanie….the girl he cheated with?” His heart was fiercely beating behind his chest as he anxiously waited for her answer.
“If it isn’t that bitch, who else could it be?” Amy replied irritatedly. She hated Stephanie with her every being.
Jake felt like something had hit him when he heard that. He couldn’t believe it.
Cale and Stephanie were the ones who betrayed Jade? Stephanie was the one acting like a cousin while Cale cheated on Jade with her, and he had made the mistake of sleeping with her too?
Did Jade know?
He looked at Jade and he felt guilty. He felt like he had betrayed her too. Intially, when Marcus told him the name of the girl, he had thought Stephanie had hurt Jade because of what had happened between them. But now it seemed that was not the case. This was way deeper than what he had thought.
How could he have been so stupid? How could he have hurt her too. Though what he did was in the past but it would have been different had it been some other girl. But now, that wasn’t the case.
‘Fuck’ Jake cussed in his mind, as he raked his hand through his hair. He messed up big time.
He was so undeserving of a girl like her. She was too good for all of them.
Now his urge to get back at Cale and Stephanie for hurting Jade was heightened.
He jerked up to his feet, sauntered over to Jade, he bent down and whispered, “I’m sorry love” before placing a kiss on her forehead.
He turned to Lair and Amy and excused himself out of the room.
“Are you going to see them? I want to go too. That bitch deserves a slap from me” Amy told him with a tone of finality. She wasn’t looking fine but she didn’t care she was going to get revenge for Jade.
Jake looked at her from head to toe, she had an infusion attached to her. “I don’t think you should go” He told her.
“No I’m going” She stubbornly declared. Jake didn’t know if that was an okay thing to do, he looked at Lair who gave him a nod.
“I’ll come too”
And soon they all set out to Marcus base.
Amy and Lair shared a look when they saw where Jake was driving to. They had thought they were heading to the station, but this didn’t look like it.
They both kept quiet and followed Jake. A young man was waiting at the door who directed to a room where Marcus was already waiting for them.
Jake didn’t need anyone to tell him why Marcus had gotten hold of Cale and Stephanie even before the asked. It was because of deal Jake had made with him earlier, but unfortunately for him he couldn’t meet up with his own part of the deal, and that was why he had done this to put Jake in hid favour, and Jake didn’t mind. All he wanted was to hurt that son of a bit** who had hurt his girl.
“Finally you’re–” Marcus slurred when he saw the people following Jake. He cocked a brow at Jake who replied, “It’s fine, they’re with me” Jake assured him. He understood the man’s worries. This was a secret base that was supposed to remain hidden to unknown eyes, but he had just brought them there.
Marcus simply shrugged and began to lead Jake to another room. He doesn’t mind as far as he was able to lay hold of his father’s company.
Amy was a bit nervous and uncomfortable when she realized what the place was, and the sights of armed men made it worse, but the moment she saw Stephanie and Cale tied to a chair she felt anger surge through her vein. She pulled away from Lair who was holding her and marched towards them.
“You daughter of Satan” Amy yelled as she landed Stephanie a slap turning her face to the other side. Stephanie was shocked when she received that jaw breaking slap, she was yet to recuperate from the first one when another landed on the other side of her face making her squeal. Amy turned to her right side and slapped the fool that was sleeping on the next chair jerking him up from sleep.
“Wh–”
“Open you gutter and I’ll fill it with a can of worm” Amy snapped and dealt another slap.
“You bit!” Cale tried to curse but his lips shut close when a teeth-chattering punch graced his face.
“That’s for breaking her heart.” Lair said before dealing him another blow making Cale groan in pain, “And that’s for touching her you bastard.”
He looked at him irritatedly before slapping him on the face, “And that’s for insulting my sister.” He fumed.
Dealing him a knock on his head, Amy said, “And that’s for sharing the same air space with us and wasting precious oxygen!” She practically yelled that part out making Marcus chuckle amusedly. He loved the scene playing before him. He was seated in a holding room in his base, a cool drama was going on, all he needed was a pack of popcorn.
Amazing!
Amy turned to the vicious bitch by her side and her blood boiled even more. She violently grabbed Stephanie’s hair and began to pull it pulling her head forward making Stephanie scream out in pain.
“Let me go, please let me go” She begged.
“In your dreams” Amy seethed. She looked at Marcus who tend to own the place and was watching with great satisfaction, and ordered,
“Give me a scissor and a blade”
Lair looked at her in shock, “What do you want to do?” Lair asked.
“I’m going to shave this whore like the dog she is.” She spat out, before turning towards Marcus, “The scissors, man” She snapped at him.
Marcus’s lips curved upwards, “Yes ma’am” He replied as he jumped to his feet.
He paused at the door and looked at Amy and said, “And just so you know I like you” He told her but Amy eyed him.
“The scissors God damnit!” She snapped at him.
*Few minutes later*
Stephanie screamed as she tried to break free from Amy’s hold but she couldn’t, she was holding her hair so tightly, pulling it backward and vehemently trimming the hair down with a scissors.
“Please leave me alone!” Stephanie screamed as she tried to twirl on the chair but she was securely tied to it.
“Bitch scream all you want but I’m going to shave you and kill you then feed your body to the dogs!” Amy hollered at her as she continued to cut her hair off with the scissors. She cut all hair ensuring she did a very good job by making her look hideous. She hit her head with the back of the scissors before slapping her horribly shaved head.
Amy walked around and stood in front of her, and she nodded approvingly, “This is how a classless whore like you should look like, like a mentally derailed person living on the streets.” Amy told her while Stephanie cried angrily. She didn’t need anyone to tell her that she looked horrible. She looked at Amy with much anymosity but she couldn’t do anything to her. The venemous look from Amy’s eyes told her she couldn’t do anything but cry.
Jake stood before Cale and Stephanie, he had been quiet while he let Amy and Lair do what they liked. He wasn’t really sure what he’d do to them but the anger in him just wanted him to kill them most especially Cale. Kill for laying his hand on his woman.
Marcus saw the way Jake was looking at Cale with lividity. The aura emanating from him was a murderous one. He was demanding for blood.
He took a few steps towards Jake and put a hand on his shoulder, “If you want to kill him, I can get rid of the body.” He told him before stepping back. He had felt this kind of anger before and he knew there was no satisfaction even when you see the person dead, but it would help you know that such a person no longer existed in the planet. At least that was his method of handling this, no wonder he was a mafia boss.
Jake looked at Cale who was already dripping blood from several part of his body due to the beating he had received earlier and maybe Marcus men had also given him a welcome party.
He pulled out a gun from the back of his trousers, it was the same gun he had collected from one of Marcus’ men at the penthouse. Lair and Amy were shocked to see a gun in his hand.
“Jake” Lair was the first person to speak up. He knew the man was angry but he didn’t expect him to have a gun. He was going to kill Cale? Well he didn’t have a problem with that, one less useless person on the planet would make the world a better place, but he couldn’t stand it if it was going to be in front of him.
Firstly his morals wouldn’t let him, secondly his ethics were against it, he was meant to save lives not the other way round, and thirdly he didn’t want his sister to experience such a thing. He was quite protective of her, her mental health included.
“Jake put the gun down.” Lair spoke calmly but Jake only scoffed.
“Jake, you don’t have to kill him, just vent out on him and send him to jail.” Amy added.
“Jade wouldn’t be happy about this and you can go to jail for this too. What happens to Jade when she wakes up?” Amy tried to persuade him, but Jake wasn’t yielding. Rather the thought of Jade came to mind. Flashes of the condition he had met her in, the helpless condition she is now, everything came buzzing into his head and his anger heightened.
He cocked the gun and without looking at Lair he said, “You might want to get her out of here.” He spoke coldly.
Lair opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out, he could tell Jake mind was clouded with anger so it was useless talking to him. He gave him a nod before wrapping his hand around Amy, “Let’s go.” He told her.
“But we can’t let him–” Amy tried to protest for her friend’s sake.
“Amy let him. He’s in pain, he won’t listen to us.” Lair told her. Amy looked at Jake before relunctantly nodding her head. For the first time she understood how deep Jake’s love ran for Jade. He was blinded with so much anger he was going to kill for her. She sighed and followed Lair out.
Jake looked at the piece of trash that was sitting before him, staring at him with fright filled eyes.
“Ple..ease don’t. Don’t kill me” Cale begged making Jake scoff.
“I’m sure she must have begged you as well.”
“But I didn’t hurt her. She hurt me first.” He said defensively. Jake couldn’t believe what he was hearing at the moment.
“Then I’ll be nice enough to let her finish it.” He said as he fired the gun. The force of the gun was strong that it pulled Jake back a little but he regained his posture.
Cale let out a loud groan as the bullet pierced him, he thought Jake was going to shoot him in the head or on his chest to kill him swiftly, but rather the man shot on his knee. A strong wave of pain shot through his body.
“Fuck!” He cussed as he looked down at his open knee. He was yet to endure the pain of the first gunshot when Jake fired another at his second knee and then at both his shoulders.
“Ahhhh… Jesus” Cale screamed in anguish while Stephanie kept screaming like a banshee. She was scared to so much blood in front of her.
Jake exhaled deeply as he tossed the gun to the floor. He wasn’t satisfied but he could leave with this level of revenge.
He took a step towards Cale and looked at him, “I’m not going to kill you because it will only create an escape for you. But I’ll make sure you go to jail with all this pains you’re feeling right now, so you’ll know just how much pain she’s also feeling. I wish you a horrible life here on out.” Jake seethed before turning to Stephanie who was trembling with fear.
He didn’t know what to do with her, and apparently Amy had done enough by bruising her ego.
“I don’t want to ever see you in this country, if you do or you as much as dare to look her way, I’ll find you and kill you. Do you understand?” Jake asked while Stephanie vigorously nodded her head. Jake felt like he could do more to her, but he didn’t want to. What was important was that she wasn’t successful with her evil plans.
He turned away to leave but he paused when he remembered something. He turned around and looked at Stephanie who hitched when Jake turned towards her. “And just so you know, you can never measure up to her.” He said before walking away.
He stepped out with Marcus following behind.
“So?” Marcus was the first to speak up.
“Drop him in a station and report the case. I’ll go drop a statement later.” Jake wasn’t going to let Cale escape for what he had done. Marcus nodded in understanding.
“What about our deal?” He asked. Wasn’t that why he was going this far?
“You’ll get it in two weeks” Jake replied before walking away.
Marcus looked at him and shook his head. The man who once had a only promiscuous reputation had just handled a gun and had almost taken someone’s life. Women always brings out the worst or best in men. But in Jake’s case his woman had brought both the good and bad.

*Hillary’s Mansion*
Hillary threw her head back and laughed heartily when she heard the report one of her men was giving her.
“He really has a girlfriend now?” She asked in disbelief while the guy nodded and she couldn’t help but burst out in laughter. What has the world turned into?
“And she’s in a coma?” She asked, while the man nodded.
“He should stick to what suits him more. Love and feelings aren’t for him. I hope that girl dies and he gets to feel real pain. How splendid would that be?” She chirped. She excitedly clapped her hands together, and looked at her surbordinate with glistening eyes.
“Let’s spice things up for him, what do you think?” She asked with excited eyes.
“I think you’re correct boss”
“Of course I am. Call our guy and tell them I want the old fox gone. He can start now.” She said with a happy smile while the man nodded.
“Yes boss” He said before walking away.
“Hillary are you sure about this?” Shirked asked while Hillary bobbed her head excitedly.
“Of course, this is what we need to distract him. So many attacks from all sides, how will he look after the company or protect that Lawyer? Hmm? This is the perfect timing and I think even the heavens are tired of the Beau’s already. Let’s just help them kick them out. What do you say?” She asked Shirley.
“Whatever you say..” Shirley replied while Hillary smiled impishly, “This will be fun.”
