I kept smiling in my sleep while enjoying a lovely dream. I love this feeling, it seemed real to me. I could tell the difference between fantasy and reality
The smile faded and my expression became unemotional when I woke up seeing a young lady atop me hugging me and crying profusely
“Who are you and how did you get into my room?” I yelled
Furious and terrified, I planted both my hands on her arm and pushed her away
She cried out, body convulsing under waves of intense pain enough to push her towards unconsciousness.
I studied her with more interest than fear, then realized that she was the girl I brought home the previous day.
“Shit! What have I done?” I murmured. But it was not my fault, I wasn’t used to girls being around me not to speak of hugging me
“I’m so sorry for pushing you away, are you okay?” I asked her and she nodded her head
“Why are you crying and why did you come to my room?” She was interrogated by me but she fell silent and stared at me
I thought she was silent because she was reluctant to put her thoughts into words, so I waited for a few minutes but she was not saying anything
“What’s all this, are you dumb? Can’t you answer my question?” I yelled at her
She was very emotional, she cried out in fear and flung both arms up to protect her face.
With a frustrated sigh, I lifted her head and gazed at her pensively. I took my phone and called Jadiel on his mobile to come over to my house
I went into the bathroom and did my morning routine, then moved toward the closet and picked up a new shirt and a short.
Jadiel ran breathlessly into the house and burst into my room without knocking. He got completely carried away and almost cried, seeing Aaliyah as tears streaming down her cheeks
“What did you do to her?” He asked me, his face was hard and unsmiling
“Really! Does he like her that much?” I scoffed
“When I woke up this morning, I saw her atop me and I pushed her away, how is that my fault?” I told him
Jadiel took her arm and led her to the couch while I settled into a leather rocker
“She has refused to talk to me. You can try your luck too before I send her back to where she comes from” I uttered
“What is your name?”Jadiel asked her calmly and she used her hand to demonstrate a book and a pen
“You want to write?”Jadiel asked again and she nodded her head
I opened the top drawer and withdrew a pen and a diary from my drawer. I dropped it on the table and she began to write
“My name is Aaliyah Richard” She wrote
“Which of the Richard?” I inquired
“Richard Robert” she wrote
“What!” Jadiel and I looked at each other filled with astonishment
She unbuttoned the first button on her top and slipped her hands inside. An inscribed diamond necklace “RRA” dangled in the open space at her neck, visible through the unfastened top button of her loose top
“RRA” was the same symbol adopted by Richard Company to identify their products and I’ve once partnered with Mr Richard
“Can you express yourself in speech?” Jadiel quizzed
“I’m dumb, I can only hear what you’re saying” she wrote
I glanced up at her, a guilty look on my face. In actual fact she was truly dumb. No wonder Mr Richard hide his daughter from the media. No one knows about his daughter
“He hates me” she wrote
“Who?” I asked. Then She pointed at me
“I don’t hate you, I just feel uncomfortable around females” I responded
“Please help me someone wants to kill me” she wrote again
After her statement, there was a shocked silence.
“If that’s the case write down everything we need to know about you and your family” I told her. She nodded her head and started to write

When she finished writing, we read what she wrote and for a moment we were too stunned to say anything.
“We will protect you and preserve your innocence” Jadiel assured her
“How old are you?” I asked
“Eighteen” She wrote
“Ric, let her stay here with you. I would have love to take her home with me but I don’t trust my kid brother and I barely stays at home during the day” Jadiel said
“It is impossible” I muttered
“Okay… Let’s do it this way, when Huxley come back from his business trip she will leave. Just for two weeks, please do this for me” Jadiel pleaded
“Okay fine! She can stay but she should not come to my room again”
She stared at me, her expression sour but I ignored her
“Go back to your room and freshen up. I will get you some clothes and undies” Jadiel said to her. So she stood up and walked out of the room
“Ric please be good to her because she has went through a lot. This girl is innocent and pure” Jadiel spoke up immediately Aaliyah left the room
“I will try” I murmured under my breath
After a while, Kohen entered into my room with a boutique bag and handed it over to Jadiel
“Good morning Ric” Kohen greeted me. He smiled at me and I returned the smile
“Kohen, we have a girl to protect” I informed him
I explained everything to him and told him to investigate about the murder of her parents and Kohen promised to protect her
Jadiel took the bag and went to Aaliyah’s room while I got up and went downstairs as Kohen followed behind
