Timisire: The Golden Girl Part 27

©️ Opeyemi Akintunde

Timisire had never experienced God like she was experiencing Him that moment. Back at Pastor Tim’s church, God was evident but this was deeper, God was very tangible at this place called the Lighthouse…

She wanted to stay there, she was not leaving this place.

She laid down on the welcoming floor of the room where they were worshipping. She felt peace like never before…

Rereloluwa’s phone rang. She had been sitting close to her phone waiting for Timisire to call. Rereloluwa rushed to check the caller , but unfortunately it was not who she was expecting. However, the caller was not to be ignored. It was her Pastor calling…

” Sis Rere, Good evening” The voice was tensed

” Good Evening Sir!”

” What happened to Sis Timisire?”

” Sir?” Rere was shocked that Her Pastor was asking about Timisire.

‘ Sir? I don’t understand the question? Is she with you sir?”

‘ Is she with me? Are you asking me that question?” Pastor Tim had added a pinch of anger to his voice. It was obvious he was doing everything ‘Christianly’ to control his emotions.

” No sir, I am sorry sir…What I meant to say is, she is not at home, I think My Husband scolded her and she took it to her heart and as a result ran off”

” Oh my God! What kind of scolding is that? I hope we have not lost her again”

” Lost her again? What do you mean sir?”

‘There is a video I saw on a blog, with Timisire behaving erratic. I will send you the video right away “

Pastor Ayo ended the call sharply. Rere could tell her pastor was pissed.

“Timisire is behaving erratic?” Rereloluwa said looking at Ifeoluwa accusingly

” If anything happens to Timisire…” Rereloluwa threatened without completing the words…

A notification sound was heard on both of their phones… Simultaneously, they rushed to check the message…

They both watched the video separately and their thoughts were different likewise.

Ife heaved a sigh of relief. He wasn’t happy she was back to her insane state, but he was happy his secret was safe…

Rereloluwa felt betrayed, how could her husband hurt her further…

” It is still this uncouth mouth of yours that you hurt me with , that you have used in running the poor girl mad again… Ifeoluwa, if Timisire doesn’t return to this house , forget this marriage.” Rereloluwa said

Ifeoluwa didn’t have the strength to reply. Disappointment, shame and fear had crippled him.

Rereloluwa walked out of the house with her car key. She was going to look for Timisire. The location in the video looked familiar…

*****
“You can stay with Vanessa in her room, in the morning we will discuss ” Favour said to Timisire

Vanessa had brought Timisire to the office again after the devotion…

” Ok, thank you ma”

” You have a dog, like a pet?” Favour asked her

“No..”

” Okay!” Favour said ” But you like dogs?”

” Not really, I am indifferent. Although I see myself playing with dogs in my dream, maybe someday in the future, when I have my own house, I will get dogs…”

Favour smiled, she smiled at the girl’s ignorance. She had seen the dog spirit in her, as she stood in front of her, she was seeing half human and half dog.

” Rest your head for tonight, we will continue tomorrow”

Rereloluwa’s phone rang again. It was Pastor Ayo calling her.

” Hello Sir”

” Someone said the incident happened to CrossValley junction.”

” Yes sir, I am close to the place”

” Alright!” He ended the call sharply again.

Rereloluwa knew her Pastor was mad at her.

*****
Timisire watched how the girls in the room were filled with excitement. The air was pure, the atmosphere was serene…

” Aunty Liberty was close to tears today, when Uncle Fred proposed today… Jesus! We will be attending a Lighthouse wedding soon” Ayowale was saying

“Yes ooo, Aso – Ebi things. We will paint the wedding with Lighthouse Ankara.” Vanessa replied

” That reminds me, Let’s not forget Lighthouse Modesty Fashion Week. We are yet to get our tie-dye fabrics ooo” Jomiloju said

” Yes oo, Let’s go shopping two weeks from now” Vanessa replied

Timisire looked at all the girls in the room, there was joy evident in their eyes. She had never been in the midst of decent girls like them.

“God, can I be like one of these girls… Beautiful, full of light, joyful” Timisire thought as she wondered how come in thirty minutes there had not been talks about sex, men, money amongst them. Though ever since she had been living with Aunty Rere and becoming born again, she was having better friends from the church, but most of the girls still needed more encounter as they were always talking about one new brother in the church or the old one who had broken up with his fiance…

It was therefore a shock that this place was different, the talk was centered around achievements, projects, conferences they had to attend and eventually when they spoke about someone proposing, it was still decent and they did not dwell on the matter…

” God, count me among the number here!” Timisire shut her eyes in prayer…

To be continued…
